The premise is pure wish fulfillment, and it knows it. You play a self-described ordinary guy rattling down an empty desert road in a tired pickup when Colette Ramsey appears on the shoulder, stranded and in no mood to be picky about her ride. She has just ditched her boyfriend, correction, ex, at a gas station fifty miles back, and she's perfectly happy to go wherever you're going.

Episode 1 moves like a highway montage: blazing sun, a cold drink handed across the cab, small talk that keeps tipping into innuendo. Her opening screening question, checking that you aren't a serial killer and accepting a simple no as good enough, sets a wry tone. Your narration is the weak spot; the constant out-of-my-league disbelief gets repetitive fast. Colette, though, is decisive and funny, and the one-room-left motel gag is played with a knowing smirk, as she waves off your stammered alternatives before you can finish a sentence.

The first episode's ending is less a cliffhanger than an open door, which is either exactly what you want or a sign that plot isn't the point here. If an easygoing, take-charge stranger and a motel-room setup sound like a good evening, keep driving. If you need twists, backstory or any tension beyond will-they-or-won't-they, this probably isn't your exit.
