How we review Candy Shorts

Where the data comes from

Everything factual on this site is read from the official Candy Shorts library on candy.ai, as a logged-out visitor, and re-synced regularly. The last full sync was on October 1, 2026. For each series we record:

• the title, official synopsis, lead character and Candy AI’s own genre tags;
• every episode, whether it is free (with or without an account) or premium, and its token price;
• the runtime of each free episode, measured from the end of its official subtitle track (a close lower bound of the real length);
• Candy AI’s “new” and “new episodes” flags.

Premium prices come from the official plans page in USD, as shown to US visitors.

What we review

Our reviews are based on the official synopsis and on the complete dialogue of each series’ free episodes, in other words what you can see before paying. We never describe paid episodes as if we had seen them. Members-only series, which Candy AI hides from guests, are listed but not reviewed. 112 of the 119 series we list carry a full review.

Scores

• Story (1–10): hook strength, coherence, pacing and the quality of the cliffhangers.
• Characters (1–10): personality, chemistry and how well the dialogue is written.
• Value (1–10): calculated, not judged. It rises with the number of free episodes and falls with the average token price per episode, so a Digital Twin series at 30 tokens per episode scores lower than a standard 12-token series.
• Overall (out of 10): 45% story + 35% characters + 20% value.
• Heat (1–5): how charged the free episodes already are, from 1 (flirty) to 5 (explicit from the first minute). It describes the content; it is not part of the overall score.

What we leave out

Candy AI states that every character is an adult. We go further and exclude any series whose setup or free episodes read as school-age, coercive or non-consensual, plus members-only series whose titles we cannot vet. Excluded series do not appear in our catalog, rankings or totals.

Independence

We earn affiliate commissions from Candy AI, and we never accept payment for scores. Rankings are produced from the scores above, and a series with a low score is shown as such even though every series links to the same affiliate program.
