Kenzie Whitaker plays an adult woman who walks into a therapist's office with a confession she can't stop replaying: she wants her stepsister's fiancé. The series is structured as a session, her account cutting into flashbacks, and the setup suggests the people around her, from the therapist to her own family, are steering events more than she realizes. Her stepsister Rachel is no wronged party either, cheerfully lending out her fiancé and insisting that stepsisters share.
The free episodes are frank and unfiltered from the very first line, about as explicit in tone as a series gets this early. What keeps it from being pure shock is the framing. The confessional voice-over has a moody, almost literary rhythm, especially in episode 2's account of a fogged-up shower and her admission that she let things continue. The scenic drive in episode 1 has some sly humor too, with the fiancé told to keep his eyes on the road. The downside is coherence: names, timelines and who-is-talking-to-whom blur, and the jumps between therapy and memory can leave you a step behind.
Three premium episodes are left, 36 tokens in all, and episode 2 ends with things clearly escalating and the therapist's role still unexplained. That mystery is a genuine reason to continue. If taboo family drama with a twisty, confessional structure appeals, this is one of the stronger hooks around.
