A married couple's island vacation is meant to be a repair job, and it's already failing when Roxy Whitfield strolls up to the pool. She's magnetic, unapologetic, and spots a bored husband from fifty paces. The twist is that his wife, Maya, is no passive victim: the series sets up a three-way game of nerve in which everyone believes they're the one holding the cards, and the premise promises that nobody can walk away once it starts.
The free episodes are tightly written and openly charged. Episode 1's poolside sunscreen scene is a small masterclass in tension: Roxy asks the husband to do her back, Maya dares him to go ahead rather than forbid it, and the subtext crackles. Episode 2 escalates fast, but the interesting part is the power shift, as Maya walks in on the pair and, instead of exploding, starts dictating terms. Dialogue is crisp, with a teasing British-flavored wit ('Lucky for you, I'm very good at un-bored'), and both women have real presence. The husband is mostly a prize being negotiated over, which may or may not be your thing.
