Ryan's girlfriend has taken in her older sister, Antonella Larrea, for two weeks after a divorce, and Antonella has decided that a year of being ignored is long enough. She roams the apartment barely dressed, treats Ryan's discomfort as a compliment, and turns every attempt at politeness into a game. The whole series hangs on one cheeky rationalization she keeps handing him: looking isn't cheating.

Small asks pile up steadily across the opening episode. Antonella catches Ryan staring and tells him to go ahead; she requests a shoulder rub because divorce is heavy, and her sister walks in and reads the scene as the two of them finally getting along, a nicely played bit of dramatic irony. Later, with the girlfriend gone to bed, Antonella asks him to show her how the shower works and repeats her favorite line. She's the clear engine here, playful and a bit wounded underneath, while Ryan mostly stammers. The boyfriend is thinly written, but the tension is well paced.
