A week at your girlfriend's family home sounds harmless enough. You're Ethan, and your girlfriend, Richard's adult daughter and Holly's adult stepdaughter, has brought you to stay with her father and his stunning partner, Holly Donovan. You can't stop looking at Holly, and Richard notices. Instead of getting angry, the easygoing host reveals he enjoys other men admiring her, setting up a forbidden week in which the man of the house seems to be the one opening doors.
Things open in private with Holly and Richard, establishing a couple whose spark is still very much alive, before you and your girlfriend arrive early. Richard is the most vivid presence, a vacation-mode dad announcing that the family plan is to relax and have some fun. His reaction to catching you staring is the key beat: amused, flattered on Holly's behalf, and leading straight into a startlingly blunt proposition. It's an effective jolt, if abrupt. Holly herself, the series' lead, hardly speaks, and your girlfriend is barely sketched.
