Our verdict
Broad, goofy military comedy with a commanding lead. Worth the 36 tokens if you like a domineering woman in charge and don't mind a slapstick plot.
Best for: Viewers who want a bossy woman in uniform and broad comedy
Under Holly’s Command review
Sergeant Holly Donovan runs her unit like a personal kingdom, and the corporal who strolls in late to formation becomes her favorite target. The setup is pure power-play: she accuses him of eyeballing her, he stammers denials, and every punishment she hands out seems designed to keep him close. Holly is the engine of the whole thing, all barked orders and barely hidden interest, while the base around them supplies interruptions in the form of a visiting general and a nosy fellow soldier, Jessica.
Across two free episodes the tone is closer to a sitcom than a thriller. Episode 1 piles on the humiliations, from a hundred pull-ups to being thrown out of her cabin, before an evening punishment gets cut short by the general's surprise arrival, a genuinely funny timing gag. Episode 2 leans even sillier: Holly throws out her hips, the corporal volunteers some amateur chiropractic, and Jessica's blunt observation about how he's reacting gets her dismissed on the spot. The writing is thin and the corporal's stutter is overplayed to the point of parody, but Holly's snarling delivery keeps it watchable.
Three premium episodes remain, 36 tokens in total. The free episodes end on mild beats rather than real cliffhangers, so the pull is Holly herself rather than the plot. If a sharp-tongued, dominant woman in uniform is the draw, keep going; anyone hoping for a story with stakes will come up short here.
Scores
What works
- Holly's barked orders and insults give her a strong, funny presence
- The general's interruption is a well-timed comic beat
- Two free episodes give a fair sense of the tone
What doesn’t
- The corporal's nonstop stammering wears thin fast
- Plot is a string of gags without much momentum or stakes
How we score: our review method. Scores reflect the free episodes and the series’ price, not the paid episodes we have not watched.

- Episode 1Free1:04
The corporal arrives late, and Sergeant Holly instantly accuses him of staring at her. A hundred pull-ups don't end his embarrassment; she notices his reaction and throws him out. When he returns to apologize, she announces he'll be punished that night, but the general walks in at the worst possible moment.
- Episode 2Free0:56
With the general asleep, Holly dismisses the corporal, until she's brought back unable to walk after twisting her hips. He offers some improvised chiropractic and, to her surprise, it works. Jessica points out how much he's enjoying it, Holly sends her away, and grudgingly credits his nerve.
