Civilization is gone, and after three years of searching you've started to accept that you might be the only man left alive. Then you stumble into Eden, a hidden enclave of roughly five hundred women who haven't seen a man since the end times. Their queen, Rachel Greer, sees you less as a refugee than as her community's most precious resource, and she has firm ideas about how that resource should be shared.
Across two free episodes the series takes its time, and that suits it. The first is pure world-building: the shock on the women's faces, the reassurance that you're safe, and a pointed rule that nobody will touch you without permission, so lock the door if you'd rather sleep alone. The second pays that line off neatly when the queen lets herself in and observes, almost amused, that you didn't. Her dialogue is measured and teasing; she says she likes to move slowly, and the episode backs her up. The closing reveal, that every woman in Eden expects her turn for the sake of humanity's future, lands as both a joke and a genuine raising of the stakes.
