Our verdict
A slow, almost wordless opener that's hard to judge on its own; worth a look mainly if the house-alone maid scenario is already a favorite.
Best for: Devotees of the home-alone maid fantasy who enjoy a slow build

The Maid My Wife Hired review
As setups go, this is about as minimal as it gets. A wife hires a maid, played by Yuna Moon, reminds her husband to be nice to the new hire, and leaves for a long day at work. From nine in the morning to eight at night, it's just the two of them in the house. There's no backstory, twist or mythology; the hook is entirely that long, empty stretch of hours and the question of how long he'll stay polite.
What the opening episode delivers is mood more than story. There's barely any dialogue: a small mishap that Yuna promises to make up for, a deferential question about whether she's doing a good job, and a check-in from the wife that he answers with a too-quick assurance that everything's fine. That last beat is the closest thing to tension, and it works, but it's a thin foundation. The episode leans on visuals and suggestion, and the maid gets no real chance to show a personality beyond eager-to-please. Heat is suggestive rather than overt at this stage.
Episode 2 unlocks with a free sign-up, worth taking before spending anything, since the opener alone gives you scant material to judge. Beyond that, three premium episodes cost 36 tokens, mostly a bet on the premise. The nine-to-eight window gives the series room to escalate, but the first episode offers no sense of whether the writing will rise to it. Devotees of the maid fantasy may happily take the chance; everyone else would do better with a series that shows its hand sooner.
