Our verdict
A breezy, playful comedy of seduction with a neat early twist; a fun 36-token pick for viewers who prefer a wink to a smolder.
Best for: Fans of playful, competitive flirting with a comedic edge
What is My Roommates Made a Bet about?
A broke everyman answers a suspiciously cheap room ad and moves in with two bombshell roommates who secretly bet on who beds him first, but not all is as it seems.
My Roommates Made a Bet review
Cheap rent always comes with a catch. A broke everyman answers an ad for the cheapest room in the city and quickly learns why: his new roommates, Sienna and her friend, are glamorous, flirtatious and entirely unbothered by personal space. The two women bet on which of them gets him into bed first, with the loser covering his rent. The fun twist is that he overhears the whole thing, turning their game into a contest over who's really playing whom.
Comedy, not smolder, sets the tone. His wry voiceover is the best asset, from regretting not reading the fine print to asking whether this is a normal apartment and hearing a flat 'Definitely not.' An accidental walk-in and a 'we're all friends here' brush-off keep things closer to sitcom than thriller. Sienna gets the most personality, while her roommate exists mostly as the other side of the bet. The writing is simple and the overheard wager is staged a bit conveniently, but the energy is light, and his decision to play along gives him more agency than most leads in this format.
Episode 1 plays instantly and episode 2 needs only a free sign-up; after that, three premium episodes cost 36 tokens. The premise hints that the bet isn't the whole story. Episode one closes with the wager officially on rather than a dramatic cliffhanger, so whether you continue depends on how much you enjoy the playful tone. Comedy fans and anyone who likes an everyman flipping the script should keep going; those after intensity can pass.
